We’re proud to share that Jewish Neighborhood Development Council of Chicago (JNDC) was recently honored with a formal resolution from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) Board of Commissioners in appreciation of our ongoing partnership and in recognition of our role in transforming Park 538, between Touhy Avenue and Devon, from Kedzie Avenue to the North Shore Channel, into a treasured and well-utilized community asset. The resolution highlights JNDC efforts to spearhead the development of engaging environmental programming for the community at Park 538, while acknowledging the invaluable role of strong partnerships in making this possible. It was presented during our recent Urban Nature Walk & Talk at Park 538, where we were joined by representatives from MWRD, the Chicago Bird Alliance, the Chicago Park District, and Lincolnwood Mayor Jesal Patel. We’re deeply grateful for our ongoing collaboration with MWRD that continues to enhance public green space and promote environmental stewardship in West Rogers Park.
