When Arturo Venegas, owner of Robert’s Fish Market, 2916 W. Devon Ave., needed a new awning to attract customers to the only certified-kosher fish shop in Chicago, JNDC stepped in to help.  On Arturo’s behalf, JNDC navigated the process to secure funding through the Rogers Park Business Alliance and the SSA (Special Service Area) for new outdoor signage.  The SSA funding has been approved, and pending city permit approval, a new awning will soon adorn this iconic Devon Avenue specialty shop! 

Working at Robert’s since 1983, when he was 13 years old, Arturo is believed to be the only Mexican-American owner of a certified-kosher fish store in America.
