Skokie Public Library hosts Then and Now: 10 Decades of Jewish Community in West Rogers Park, a photo exhibit that brings the neighborhood’s rich Jewish history to life. On display through July 20, 2025, the exhibit offered visitors a vivid look at the evolution of Chicago’s most enduring Jewish communities.

Presented by the Jewish Neighborhood Development Council of Chicago (JNDC) in partnership with the Chicago Jewish Historical Society, the exhibit combines archival photos with contemporary images to showcase the vibrancy, resilience, and continuity of Jewish life in the neighborhood.

In addition to sparking personal memories for longtime residents, the display introduced a new generation to the stories and spaces that have shaped West Rogers Park for the past century. JNDC was proud to share this tribute to community history as part of its ongoing work to strengthen Jewish life and neighborhood identity.
